Florida Wishlist: Benefit

As anybody who follows me on Twitter probably knows, I'm off to Florida in October. Hooray!

I haven't been to Florida since I started beauty blogging so now I'm much more aware of products I want to purchase and brands I want to stock up on to make the most out of the exchange rate. Like any beauty blogger worth her salt I have an embarrassingly huge wishlist of things I want to pick up while I'm over there, so I want to share a few of them with you before I go - and also get your advice on what I should buy, but that's another post entirely.

Benefit are one of my favourite make up brands so I have a pretty hefty wishlist of things I'm hoping to pick up while I'm over in America. Feast your eyes:

1. Hoola // 2. Gettin' Cheeky // 3. Porefessional // 4. Fake Up // 5. World Famous Neutrals (Glamorous) // 6. Sugarbomb

I'm really excited to buy Hoola and Sugarbomb as I'm such a massive Benefit blusher fan - plus, I've heard Hoola is the perfect bronzer, something I've never been able to find before. I've wanted to try Porefessional for ages and ages, as I've heard such brilliant things from other bloggers; since I started using primer on long days or nights out I've noticed such a difference with how my make up wears, so I can't wait to try Benefit's offerings.

So, what do you think? Is there anything missing that I should desperately be looking out for? Do you think I've made the best choice with the neutral palette? I'm deliberating between that one and the Sexiest Nudes, so let me know which one you think I should get!

Arbonne - Brand Review

Over the last couple of weeks I've been trying out some samples from Arbonne, a skincare brand who (I have to admit) I hadn't heard much about until I was offered some samples to try out. I did a bit of background reading about the brand and discovered their main USP is the fact they use only the best, natural ingredients in their products.

Reading through the ingredients in each product I tested I noticed there were a lot of natural oils and nutrients that it was nice to know that the products I put on my skin weren't filled with chemicals that would dry my skin out.

I tested samples of night cream, day cream, toner, cleanser, serum and eye cream, as well as shampoo and conditioner and face primer. The samples were sent to me to test in exchange for an honest review.

First up, the packaging. Sure, it's what's on the inside that counts the most but first impressions are important and when so many products are on offer in the market it's important for packaging to be eye-catching and get the product noticed. The Arbonne packaging is chic and simply designed, the products look great together and I think they've done a great job with branding, managing to keep the overall look of the packaging the same while having enough variety to keep things interesting.

The quality of the products feels great, creamy and light and not at all greasy, the day moisturiser soaked into my skin nice and quickly and didn't leave a film or residue on top of my skin. The night cream was a little thick to apply and I did tie my hair back while I waited for it to settle into my skin as I felt like it could clog up my hair if it made contact with my face but by the morning it had completely disappeared, leaving my skin smooth and soft.

The star out of the skincare products I tested is the serum. My skin felt amazing after using it and I really noticed a difference to my complexion, it looked brighter and my complexion was more even. If you decide to give one skincare product from Arbonne a try make it the serum, it's a gem!

I was also given a sample of the face primer and shampoo and conditioner. The primer was great and my make up did stay perfectly in place, even after a walk to and from work and a long day! What I would say about the primer, though, is that I didn't notice any improvement over my £3 MUA tube. The shampoo and conditioner gave my hair a gorgeously glossy finish and I really did notice a difference - these are the two products I'd be most tempted to buy from Arbonne as my hair felt so lovely after washing; I couldn't stop touching it!

Overall I was impressed with the products I tried samples of for Arbonne and if my budget was higher I'd definitely pick up the serum, eye cream and shampoo and conditioner. That said, I do recommend the brand to any of you with a higher disposable income!

Benefit Rockateur Blush

What's that, you say? Benefit are bringing out a new blusher to add to their line of popular Box o' Powders? They are, indeed. Rockateur is the latest offering from Benefit, due to hit shops in October this year. Select Boots stores and the Debenhams website offered flash sales over the last week or so, allowing beauty fans to snap up the blusher weeks before it's on general release.

As a huge Benefit fan I couldn't resist and ordered myself Rockateur as soon as it came online via Debenhams. I waited (very impatiently) for it to arrive and was pretty darn excited to see a little Debenhams package waiting for me when I got home from work today - it arrived speedily and well-wrapped so big thanks to Debenhams for that!

I tested this little beauty straight away and, dear lord, it's love!

Everything from the packaging to the creamy quality of the blush to the scent to the gorgeous glow it gives my cheeks - this is an absolute winner. I already have a fair few Benefit blushers in my make up drawers but this is almost certainly my favourite, even after one application. It makes my cheeks look naturally flushed in a way I've never been able to achieve with any blusher I've owned before. It's the perfect rose gold shade with just a hint of shimmer - I adore it.

I'm so glad I decided to order Rockateur while I had the chance - it's an absolutely beautiful shade and I know I'm going to be reaching for this one time and time again. I 100% recommend picking this one up when it's out in October!
